Ruby Mason Poole, 91, of Hopewell, formerly of McKenney, VA died on Thursday, April 17, 2008. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Claire May Phipps Mason and the widow of Edward E. Poole, Sr. Ruby was a retired school teacher with Prince George County School System. She is survived by a son, Edward E. Poole, Jr. and wife, Marilyn; daughter, Willie Anna Denton and husband, Thomas; son-nephew, Earl Paul Mason; grandson, Edward E. Poole, III; granddaughters, Rebecca E. Denton and Laura L. Denton; great grandson, Edward E. Poole, IV; sister, Mabel Mason Williams and numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 6:30 to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm on Saturday, April 19, 2008 at Asbury United Methodist Church, McKenney, VA. Burial will follow in Concord United Methodist Church Cemetery, Sussex County, VA. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

To The Family, I want to express my deepest sympathy for your loss. I also want to share the comfort of John 5:28,29 which assures us of the hope that those who have fallen asleep in death will receive a "resurrection" back to life. Life on an earth restored to a beautiful paradise. Psalms 37:11 says, "The meek ones themselves will possess the earth, and they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace." While we await that wonderful time please find comfort in these promises.
