Scott Charles Altman, age 42, of Chester, VA, died on Thursday, March 27, 2008. Born in Park Ridge, IL, he was the son of Charles O. and Frances Green Altman also of Chester. Scott spent most of his working career in the construction industry, and was a loving son and brother. He is also survived by a sister, Karen Smith and husband David; and nieces, Allison and Hannah, all of Baltimore. A private cremation will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Thomas Palliative Care Unit Massey Cancer Center, North Hospital, 1300 E. Marshall St. Richmond, VA 23298. Arrangements are being secured by the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield, where condolences to the family may be registered at www.jtmorriss.co

I am very sorry to hear of Scott`s passing. I am blessed to have known him and comforted in knowing I will see him again. We had several conversations about our faith that assures me he is with the Lord. His huge laugh will surely be missed. May God Bless. W.T. Curd

I was truly sorry to hear about Scott's illness and eventual passing. He was a good man and a good friend. He was also a dedicated co-worker. We will miss him greatly. We have been, and will continue to pray for the family he left behind.
