Betty Joyce Bryant Goff, 77, of Hopewell, passed away Friday March 21, 2008 at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. She was predeceased by her parents Sidney A. & Christie Truslow Bryant, brothers: Sidney Jr., Benny Dale, and a great granddaughter Cydney Rodgers. She was a member of Selma Methodist Church in Selma, Virginia, and a member of the Auxiliary Hopewell Emergency Crew for numerous years. Betty is survived by her loving husband of 56 years James W. Goff, daughter: Cindy Slade & husband, Louis of Colonial Heights, sons: Tim Goff & wife Lori of Hopewell, Douglas Goff of Montana, grandchildren: Joyce & husband Lynn Waddell, Stephen & wife Denise Berry, Mitchell & wife Amy Goff, Jonathan Fremin, Jason, Adam, & Joseph Goff, great grandchildren: Jordaine, & Bobby Bailey, Lane Rodgers, Shayla & Brianna Waddell, Alana & Alyssa Berry, & Dylan Goff, sister: Phylis Franson, sister-in-law: Betty Jo Bryant, aunt: Daisey Allen, cousin Chester Fuller, numerous nieces, nephews, devoted friends: Mary Ann Sheehan, Jo Cain, Helen & Darius Nicely. The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T.Morriss & Son Funeral Home Monday March 24, 2008 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel Tuesday March 25, 2008 at 1:00 PM with interment to follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
