Seay, Sr. David C.

David Carr Seay, Sr. 67, of Colonial Heights, VA died March 17, 2008. He was the son of the late Emmett Waddie and Mable Annie Mitchell Seay. He was predeceased by five brothers and two sisters. He was a member of the American Legion of Colonial Heights, Retired Army served in the MP Corps during the Vietnam and Korean conflicts, was awarded two Purple Hearts and one Silver Star for valor while serving his country. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Dorothy Gayle Seay; sons, David C. Seay, Jr. and wife, Kim of Mechanicsville, Louis D. Seay and wife, Dawn and Chris L. Giles all of Chesterfield; daughters, Rebecca S. Stephenson and husband, Willie of Colonial Heights, Deborah S. Dreelin and husband, Greg of Glen Allen and Chelly L. McDaniel and devoted husband and son-in-law, Troy of Prince George Co.; eighteen grandchildren, three sisters, three brothers and loving dog Baby. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 pm Friday, March 21, 2008 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will be in Dale Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome, however contributions may be made to the Make A Wish Foundation. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

David, Rebecca, Debbie,and Louis...I wish to offer my condolences on the loss of your father. As his only children, I am sure his wish would be for you to continue to enjoy life and continue on his legacy.

I know he wasn't feeling well but I am in shock that he has gone so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I hope to make it but in case you don't get the message I am not feeling well and on an antibotic. I loved him and I love all of you. Your cousin, his niece and friend.
