Catherine Mary Ford, 93, of Chester departed this life on Friday, March 14, 2008. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Leopoldina Arnott and her husband, Thomas S. Ford. Catherine is survived by her daughter, Janet Bishop and husband, Bill; son, Tom Ford; granddaughters, Cheryl Bishop, Karen Stewart, Wendy Elsasser and husband, Mike, Michele Pittard and husband, Jeff and Christina Milliken and husband, Tim and great grandchildren, Catherine Brooke Stewart, Eric Stewart, Anna Milliken and Tanner Pittard. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Tuesday, March 18, 2008 from 6 to 8 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that contributions be made to the Massey Cancer Center, Box 980037, Richmond, VA 23298 or to the Friends of Chester Library, P.O. Because of a prior commitment, I cannot be at the funeral home Tuesday evening. Please accept my deepest sympathy for your loss of dear Catherine. She left a big empty space at the Chester Library that will never be filled. Her hours of service are greatly appreciated. I loved my visits with her in the last month or so; I loved to hear her laugh. She has left you a wonderful legacy and will forever inspire much love and pride. Sincerely, Pam Bachman
