Condolences

I first met Ken at a Corvair meeting where he heard I was a machinist and called me over to see him and discuss the building of a high performance motor. He made a very great impression on me by being so involved with the Corvair. I will miss him.

I have known Kenneth for 33 years and will miss him greatly. We have traveled together and had many long conversations about his life in Iowa, the Army as well as Corvairs, one of his favorite subjects. He had an unforgettable personality and was a staunch American patriot.

His passing will leave a hole in my life.

I was lucky to meet Ken through our mutual interest in Corvairs back in 1980. He knew those cars inside and out, and could tell you most anything you wanted to know. I wouldn't be a bit surprised if he knew half the part numbers to those marvelous cars.

My favorite memory of Ken was seeing him tooling down I-64W in his Corvair-powered dunebuggy, enroute to Waynesboro for a 'Vair Fair. He had the biggest grin on his face, and appeared to be having the time of his life.

Everyone in the Corvair Community will miss him and his many contributions to our group.

Our deepest sympathy to the family. Mr. Bunnell was one of our first neighbors over 25 years ago over on Belmont Ave. He was always helpful and sweet to our children. We have since moved and live out of state, but one never forgets the kindness given in your youth!

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you.
