Bragdon, George E.

George Evans Bragdon, age 54, of Chester, VA, died on Tuesday, March 4, 2008. He was born in Boston, MA, the son of the late Allen and Ruth W. Bragdon. George was a past member and mason in the Boston, MA area. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather, and was a knowledgeable history enthusiast. George dealt with the hard knocks and adversity in his life with his own personal favorite saying, “nothing but a thing”. He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Nancy Elaine Bragdon; sons, Timothy Allen James Bragdon, Justin Evans George Bragdon, and George William Bragdon; step-daughter, Doris Yvonne Pollard; sisters, Sharon Koons and Mary Ellen Bragdon; grandchildren, Alyssa Bragdon, George Bragdon, and Matthew Taylor; and a host of nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held in his honor on Sunday, March 9, 2008 from 2 to 4 p.m. Graveside funeral services will follow on Monday, March 10, 2008 at 1 p.m. in Sunset Memorial Park.
