Charles Wilbur “Wibbie” Cobb, Jr. 69, of Prince George, died Thursday, February 28, 2008, in Southside Regional Medical Center. He was born in Hopewell and life-long resident. .Mr. Cobb was a retired production planner for Honeywell Corporation, a member of the Loyal Order of the Moose #1472 and the First Baptist Church. Mr. Cobb was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Wilbur and Mollie Virginia Addison Cobb, Sr. , his first wife, Joyce Lee Smith Cobb and his second wife, Elizabeth Hening Cobb. Surviving are his daughter, Monica L. Tate of Chesterfield, a son, Michael Van Cobb of Prince George, a grandchild, Kasey Lee Pulley of Chesterfield, and a special friend, Barbara Wallace of Prince George. The family will receive friends Friday, February 29, 2008 from 6-8 P.M. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 1, 2008 at 10:00 A. M. in the funeral hone chapel with Rev. Dr. Alex Roberts , Unity Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Appomattox Cemetery.
