Simmons, Roy L.

Roy LaVern Simmons, 57, of Chesterfield, died Friday, February 22, 2008 in Medical College of Virginia Hospital. He was born in Petersburg and had been a life long resident of this area. Mr. Simmons was a member of the Dinwiddie Loyal Order of the Moose. He was the son of the late Johel S. and Irene Harrison Simmons. Mr. Simmons is survived by a son, Brian D. Simmons and his wife Sandy, two grandchildren, Casey and Kelsie Simmons, all of Avon, NC, and a brother J. Kevin Simmons and his wife Dorothy of Chester. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 7:00 P.M. in the Hopewell chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service.
