Percy D. Rollings, Sr., 82, of Elberon passed away on February 22, 2008, at 6:30 p.m. in the home of his eldest son, Percy D. Rollings, Jr., and his wife Melissa of Hertford, NC. Mr. Rollings was the husband of the late Alice Elizabeth Rollings. He was retired from Gwaltney Meatpacking and Oak Grove Dairy. He was well liked, loved, and respected by all who knew him. Mr. Rollings leaves behind a flock of sheep, his horses (which he desperately loved), and his John Deere tractor.

Mr. Rollings is survived by two sons, Percy D. Rollings, Jr. (Melissa) of Hertford NC and William E. Rollings (Donna) of Elberon; two daughters, Evangeline Sue Rollings of Las Vegas NV and Sandra Lane of Williamsburg; and two sisters, Fannie Stewart (Walter) of Dendron and Clara Crowder of Petersburg. He also leaves behind six grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. at Purviance Chapel, J.T. Morriss and Son Funeral Home, Wakefield. Burial will follow in the family cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at the funeral home from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.

being neighbors for over twenty four years. We
loved him very much.We are going to really
miss him.I know my husband are going to
to miss the long talks they use to have. our love

soon heal.

Percy was a good neighbor for the last 20 years and we loved and respected him. We'll keep you all in our prayers.
