In loving memory of Carl Daniel Smith, who passed away suddenly on February 13th at his home in Dinwiddie County, VA. He is survived by his loving wife, Evelyn Marie Smith of the home; his loving parents, Carl J. Smith and Lucille Smith of Colonial Heights, VA. Also surviving are his sons, David W. Vest and his love Sunshine of Dinwiddie, VA and Kenneth Robert Vest and wife, Elizabeth of Dinwiddie, VA; daughter, Joanne Polumbo and husband, Edward of Prince George, VA; sister, Dorcus Pope of Amelia, VA; brother, Phillip Smith and wife, Elizabeth of Colonial Heights, VA; grandchildren, David W. Vest, II, Kaylah Vest, Drake Vest, Melissa Holmes and Rebecca Polumbo and his loving pets, Bear and Angel Baby. He served his country in the U.S. Army which included tours of duty in Germany and throughout Europe and will be loved and remembered by children everywhere as Boomerang the Clown. He was a faithful servant of God which spread His love to all which had the pleasure of knowing him. He touched the lives of millions with his love. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service tonight from 7 to 8:30 pm. A funeral service will be held at Harrowgate Worship Center on Saturday, February 16th at 2 pm. Burial will follow in Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.
