McClelland, Sr. Lloyd S.

Lloyd S. McClelland, Sr., 76, of Hopewell, died Monday, February 11, 2008 at Southside Regional Medical Center. A veteran of the US Army, he served 27 years of dedicated service with service in the Korean Conflict and Vietnam, retiring as a SFC E-7. He was a member of The Retired Enlisted Association, and AARP. He is survived by his wife, Aino E. McClelland, three sons, Lonnie G. McClelland & wife, Linda, Lloyd S. McClelland, Jr. and Terry W. McClelland; three daughters, Rebecca M. Hogue & husband, Wayne, Gwendolyn D. Smith and Cathy J. McKinley & husband, Robert; 10 grandchildren, Trina White & husband, Carly, Amber Smith, Boyd Smith, David Hogue, Doug Hogue & wife, Terrah, Lisa Hogue, Donnie Hogue & wife, Stephanie, Brittani McKinley , Robert D. McKinley , Christine McClelland; and one great grandchild, Lochlyn White. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 14, from 6-8 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held Friday, February 15, at 10 a.m. in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George, Virginia, with The Rev. Jeff Raymond, pastor of First Baptist Church, Hopewell, officiating. In Lieu of flowers the family request contributions to the American Cancer Society 4240 Park Place Court, Glen Allen, Virginia 23060. Condolences may be registered with www. jtmorriss.com.

It is so hard losing a father and a grandfather, but may he rest in peace as he is fully healed at present. May you be comforted by the many family "good times" and "memories" that you now have to share with each other. May this bring you closer to each other but more important closer to Christ and His Love.
