Mrs. Mary Lee Moore, 84, of Prince George, died Monday, February 11, 2008. at her home. She was born in Prince George County. Mrs. Moore was a dedicated assistant manager at Parker’s Grocery, serving many customers and friends for the past 45 years. Surviving are a nephew, Henry D. Parker; Jr. and companion, Donna Vrable, a niece Susette Andrews and husband, Kenneth , all of Prince George, her extended family at Parker’s Grocery and devoted caregivers, Nicholas Wyatt and Betty Farley of Disputanta.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 13, from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Thursday, February 14, at 2 p.m. in the Hopewell Chapel. with the Rev. Bev. Nelan, pastor of Newville United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Burrowsville Volunteer Fire Department, 17300 James River Drive, Disputanta, VA 23842 or Burrowsville Ruritan Club Building Fund,17410 James River Drive, Disputanta, VA 23842. Mr. Parker,
We are sorry to hear of Mary Lee’s passing. She was a kind person that will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you and all of Mary Lee’s “family”. We will miss her smile.

Henry, just want to say that I am so sad to here Mary Lee. I feel like i have lost one of the most important influances of my younger years. she was always there for me and I loved her so much. I will miss coming home and seeing her at the store behind the meat counter. I just want you to know I am thinking of you and if you need something just let me know. take care and hope to see you soon

Mr Parker,
We were sadden to hear about the passing of Ms. Mary. She will be missed, especially by Kevin, since he practically comes into the store everyday. She was a very kind and humble person. Our prayers and thoughts will be with you.
