Poole, Anna Logan

Anna Logan Poole, 86, of Hopewell, VA, died Saturday, February 09, 2008. She was born on the Roosevelt Farm in Hyde Park, New York, the sixth child of Gilbert and Jane Logan. Mrs. Poole served in the U. S. Army and was recognized in 2005 for fifty years of membership in the Chase City American Legion. She was the devoted wife of the late Gordon S. Poole, a caring mother and an adoring grandmother. Although she had been an employee of John Randolph Hospital, W. T. Grant and Joel’s Jewelry, her favorite job was taking care of children in her home. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Helen and Larry Arnold, and granddaughter, Lorie Arnold, all of Prince George; and two sisters, Sarah Van de Water of Canton, NY and Mary Lucey of Castleton, NY. A graveside funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, February 11, 2008 in the Woodland Cemetery, Chase City, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to your favorite charity.

I was so sorry to hear about the passing of your Mom. I did not know your Mom well, but what I remember was that she was such a wonderfully happy person who enjoyed her life so much. If I can do anything for you or your family please give me a call at 458-1633.
