Condolences

Dear Edward J. Manion and Family,

I wanted to express my deepest sympathy on the deaths of your parents. I can only imagine the sadness you feel! Although I didn't know your father, I knew your mother because I shop at her Merle Norman Cosmetics Shop.

I have been a customer of Ann's for about four years. I use a wheelchair to get around in public because I am physically handicapped. Ann always went out of her way to make me feel welcome and comfortable in her shop. She was always kind and cheerful. She always had time for a friendly chat.

Even cancer did not change her delightful demeanor. When I visited her shop in December, she did not hesitate to help me select Christmas gifts for my mom. Even though I could tell she was not feeling well at all, she spent considerable time helping me select just the right items. She smiled through her pain. She handled her battle with cancer with grace and dignity. She served as a model of courage for me over these last few years. I will miss her.

May it comfort you to know that your parents are together forever wrapped in God's loving arms.

Again, I am so sorry for your loss!

Sincerely,
Ms. Tracy Fryar

I am so thankful to have had such wonderful neighbors. Joe would come out and talk to me when I was working in the yard. Ann would bring me things from her store to try out. Both of them are sweet and loving people and will be missed very much! I will remember Ann facing her adversity with a smile and strong faith, and Joe being such a loving and devoted husband during those difficult times. May you both be at peace in heaven; hand in hand; walking with our Lord. To the family: please know in time the pain will pass and may the good Lord hold you all close during this time.

Thank you Joe for all you taught me at work. I admired you very much and the support and love you gave to your wife Annelle. I know God let you both go together because you loved each other so much. I know you both are together and with God today and no more pain or suffering. May God be with your family and help them in this time of loss. I know our office will miss you tremendously with your humor.
