Condolences

I was privileged to work with Tony Sadowski here at Defense Supply Center Richmond. Tony was one of the good guys. We worked together in what was formerly known as Product Center Three Aircraft Engines. Some of us were able to visit with the family at the funeral home, but many of us were unable to attend the mass. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with his family. Tony cared so much about our customer. His expertise in supply logistics and inventory was second to none. He has been missed every day since he left this agency. As his former supervisor (for a short while), his co-worker in JLSA, and his colleague in my new position - I can truly say that I was blessed to have known and worked with such a kind and intelligent gentleman. I learned a great deal from Tony, and he helped me so much throughout my career. He touched so many lives here at DSCR...Tony will never be forgotten.
May God's love and cherished memories comfort you.

Tony and I worked together on Pioneer Week staff at Brady Saunders, him in charge of Trading Post, and me down at Waterfront. We had many a fine talk on the porch around the Trading Post with his ever present it seemed cigar in the corner of his mouth. He helped me find the number I wanted in the limited edition scout reservation dog tags, "666". I will miss him.

My wife Diane and I are saddened to hear the news and missed the mass for Tony. I am an usher at the 9:00 mass and have seen Tony at church many times.... When I was in scouting, I had the opportunity to work with Tony on the Scouting For Food Program... I was in my 8th year of chairing the program and was in dire need of help. Tony agreed to help by acting as Co-chair for that year... He was such a great help; I could not have done the job without him... My condolences to his surviving family... He was very proud of his military son as he spoke about him several times... We will miss him terribly, but his presence and good thoughts will live on... Our best to you, Rick and Diane DePlato

I served with Tony on staff at four National Boy Scout Jamborees. He had the heart of a true Scouter and it was a pleasure to work with him. I'll always remember Tony's kindness and generosity to those around him.

My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tony was a very kind hearted man. I could ask him for assistance and he always responded to me in a positive manner. I am glad I had the pleasure of working with him. We worked together in the old Product Center 6 at DSCR. May God comfort all of you in your time of sorrow.

I am saddened to learn of Tony's death and have had a flood of memories the past two days as many Heart of Virginia Scouters have contacted me. I count it an honor and priviledge to have had the opportunity to share Scouting with Tony and to count him among my circle of friends.
"Kind and gentle spirit" is the perfect description of him, of his life, of his influence and of his way of interacting with those all around him. The life of Tony Sadowski is the perfect example of what we teach and try to exemplify for all the young people and leaders we serve.
I had such pleasure working with Tony for many years while I was an executive on the staff of the Heart of Virginia Council. Upon promotion and moving to Winchester, Virginia, Tony was among those that I most regretted "leaving behind". But I knew that we would always share a "kindred spirit".
Although not able to be there with you for family gathering and "Celebration of His Life", please know that your family will be in my prayers. On behalf of the many thousands of young people and volunteers Tony touched, let me say thank you to each of you for sharing this piece of his life with us. The world is a better place for his having been here a while. May God's peace be with each of you.
Sincerely,
Terry Coffman
