Condolences

Dear Sara, Glenda and Pam,
What a wonderful treasure Mr. Glen was and we are so glad that we knew him! We have missed him here at FBC in Albany. We were sorry to read of his passing but know heaven is still rejoicing at his homecoming.

Our prayers are with you.

I am so sorry to have heard of Glen's passing. However, I can't but think about how much better heaven is now because he is there. Each choir practice that he attended, he went around and gave pinky hugs and his smile was so contagious. What an incredible Southern gentleman he was! As I watched you two ladies, Pam and Glenda, it is easy to see that his gentle kind ways were passed along to you. You will be in my prayers.
In Him,
Cathy

Pam,

How sadden we were to hear of the passing of your father but God has everything in control. He knew that it was time to call your father to his eternal resting place where there will be no more suffering and everyday will be Sunday and the Sabbath will have no end. We know that God understands your sorrow. We pray that God will be a Comforter for you, your mother and your family.

Pam

I am sorry to hear about the loss of your father. I know that your faith and your belief in the Father and the Son will get you through this tough period in your life. Your father does not have to suffer any more. He is in the care of God where he is at rest and without pain or suffering. I pray that the Lord will comfort you, your mother and the family. Take care.

We send you and your family our deepest condolences. The following poem, attributed to Mary Frye, has always been a favorite of mine. I hope it brings you comfort.

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Love,
Neil and Sue

Most likely your Daddy is organizing golf tournaments as I scribe this message. Everytime I went to see him he loved to talk about his adventures. He will be greatly missed but his suffering is over. He will be watching over you and your Mama and Glenda and all of those he loved, you can trust in that.
Because of the strength of your faith you know that he is in a much better place - its hardest on those left here but he is with his Lord now and that is such a wonderful thing to know. Our prayers are with you and all of your family.
