Susan Sandford Johnson, age 57, of Petersburg, died Friday, December 14, 2007. She was born in Newport News the daughter of the late Robert P. and Kathleen Powers Sandford. Mrs. Johnson was a secretary at the Defense Supply Center in Richmond, a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Stony Creek Chapter and Walnut Hill Baptist Church. She also loved crafts, camping and cooking. She is survived by her husband William “Ronnie” Johnson; a daughter Bonnie J. Primm and husband Matthew of Pensacola, FL; a son Robert E. Johnson of Petersburg; two grandsons Fletcher M. and Hayden W. Primm both of Pensacola, FL; two brothers Robert P. Sandford, Jr and wife Anne of Hampton and John P. Sandford of Gulf Breeze, FL; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends Monday, December 17th from 6 to 8 pm at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A chapel service will be held at 2 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home with interment to follow at Southlawn Memorial Park with Rev. O.H. I am truly saddened by Susan's passing. She made coming to work every day a pleasure, with her friendship and caring. I will miss her. You all will remain in my prayers.
