Marvin Daniel Phillips, age 79, of Chester, VA, died on Sunday, November 18, 2007. He was born in Charlottesville, VA, the son of the late Marion F. and Ruby Bibb Phillips. Marvin was also preceded in death by his loving wife, Gloria J. Phillips. Mr. Phillips was a retired Sr. Master Sgt. of the U. S. Air Force. He is survived by three children, Stephen D. Phillips and fiancée Ramona Broussard, Marion E. Phillips, and Kevin S. Phillips and wife Angela; four grandchildren, Tara R. Phillips, Matthew E. Phillips, Jason B. Phillips, and Nicholas A. Phillips; two great-grandchildren, Emily C. and J. Logan Ashman, all of Chesterfield; four siblings, Joyce Butler, Alfred Phillips, and Marion Phillips all of Mechanicsville, VA, and Peggy Beck of Deerfield, VA. He will be deeply missed by them all. The family will receive friends at the J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Chesterfield on Tuesday, November 20, 2007, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Funeral services will follow there on Wednesday at 11 a.m., with interment in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester.
