Franks, Louise C.Tuesday, November 13, 2007
Louise Chapman Franks, 95 of Hopewell died Tuesday, November 13, 2007 at Brighter Living. She was born in Isle of Wight, VA and had been a long time resident of this area. Mrs. Franks was a member of the Church of Christ and retired from operations at Allied Chemical Corporation. She was preceded in death by her parents, Clifton L. and Lucy Murphy Chapman, a son, Douglas Wayne Franks and her husband, Norman A. Franks. Mrs. Franks is survived by a sister, Helen C. Nicely of Hopewell, two nieces and two nephews. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 14, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Thursday, November 15, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Church of Christ, Fourth & Cawson Streets, with Mural Worthy officiating. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery. I met Louise once I believe years ago with Mike Schiable, we exchanged receipes and I really enjoyed her. Michael has kept me posted on how she has been and we have passed regards back and forth. I didn't know Louise well but she made a dear impression on me. I am sorry to hear of her passing and hope it is true we are united with those we have lost and loved and she is once again surrounded with those she loved and those that love her again that have gone before her.
