Texter, Frank D. (TEX) of Chester, VA, went to be with the Lord on September 22, 2007. He is survived by his three daughters, Shirley Starr and husband Leonard, Jackie Blackstock and husband Tom, Bonnie Turner and husband Roger; six grandsons, Michael, Christopher, Jeffrey, Eric, Mathew and David; his brother Robert Texter and wife Pauline; sister-in-law Mildred Texter; former wife Doris J. Texter; wife Maria I. Texter, her daughter Linda and husband Bill, and grandson Thomas. He was preceded in death by his brother Richard Texter and former wife Caroline Watson Texter. TEX was a pipe fitter and longtime employee of Allied Chemical. He retired in 1999 after 33 years of service. He leaves behind nephews, nieces and many, many friends including Mike and Kay Turpec, Bernard Harrell and Melvin Parcells. The family will receive friends at the Chester Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Monday, September 24th from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 25th at 2 pm at First Baptist Church in Hopewell with interment to follow in Dale Memorial Park.
