Latino, Charles J.

Charles John Latino, 77 of Hopewell died Wednesday, September 12, 2007 in Chippenham Medical Center, in Richmond. He was born in New Rochelle, NY and had been a long time resident of Hopewell, VA. Mr. Latino served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and was the retired director of Corporate Reliability for Allied Chemical for 34 years and president and founder of Reliability Center, Inc. He was the son of the late John and Marie Rosa Latino. Mr. Latino is survived by his wife, Marie D’Ermes Latino of Hopewell, three sons, Mark A. Latino of Richmond, Robert J. Latino and his wife Kris of Chester, Kenneth C. Latino and his wife Lynne of Daleville, VA, two daughters, Diane L. Gordon and her husband Neil of Chester, Julie Anne Clarke and her husband Ronnie of Colonial Heights, 11 grandchildren, Anthony, Jennifer, Ben, Nicolas, Noah, Joseph, Tyler, Elizabeth, John, Sarah and Ally. A Rosary will be said Friday, September 14, 2007 at 7:00 PM in St. James Catholic Church with visitation to follow until 8:30 PM. A Mass of Christian Resurrection will be held Saturday, September 15, 2007 at 10:00 AM in the church with Rev. Michael Duffy, assisted by Rev. Frank Wiggins officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park, Chester. Memorial contributions, in his memory, may be made to your favorite charity. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com

Marie,
We were sadden by the passing of Charlie. Charlie and I grew up together on third street and were friends with his family also.Our condolences to you and your family.

You are certainly in our thoughts and prayers during Mr. Latino's illness and passing. I know this is a difficult time for all of you, but know that Mr. Latino is at peace. May God bless all of you in this time of pain and suffering and give you the strength in the days ahead.

Charles was a inspiration to so many. We feel blessed to have known him and called him a friend. Our hearts are heavy with saddness. Deepest sympathy to Marie and her family........you are in our prayers.
