Condolences

Charles W. Elliot Marine Vietnam Vet. and proud of it. A man with many combat wounds some he could show you and others you would not know were there unless you knew Charles. Growing up in Bellmeade Charles and I were close friends since the sixth grade. Playing baseball and running the streets together I have many memories of Charles. Mostly good because Charles was a good person. Vietnam changed us forever. Charles continued to fight his battles and I chose to suppress mine. This put us on a different trail both knowing how to reach each other we stayed apart. When my battles came too much for me in 2006 and needed help after 35 years my long time misunderstood friend came forward to guide me. All of us were wounded in different ways and I wish I had understood this about Charles so I would have been there for him. Charles W. Elliot Marine Vietnam Vet. my long time good friend and proud of it. Semper FI old friend!

I miss chuck already.the world has lost a good man his family has lost a good husband and father. I will always remember Chuck and how he was so quick to laugh, and to help out anyone that needed him. We will see him again someday; until then we will keep him in our hearts. Wayne

I did not know Mr. Elliott, however after reading his obituary I was moved to drop his family a line. I can tell you without a doubt that he is a true American hero. He lived and sacraficed in a by-gone era. A very trying time for this country. The fact is that as a United States Marine he was looked at, shall we say as less than the hero that he truly was. That's ok, for he knew in his heart that what he was doing was right. Never doubt his contribution to your freedom as American's. Be very proud of him, know that his service paved the way for the young men and women that are seeing action today to be able to hold their heads high and do what they have been asked to do to insure that we are able to sleep at night.

May God continue to shed his grace on The United States of America.

May God shed his love on you Chuck. Semper Fi. Ooo-rah!
