Hammond, Thelma Locke

Thelma Locke Hammond, 99, of Hopewell died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at her residence. She was born in Keysville, VA and had been a resident of Hopewell since 1926. Mrs. Hammond was preceded in death by her parents, Otis M. and Pearl Townsend Locke, her husband William F. Hammond and a son, William Thomas Hammond. She is survived by a daughter, Betty H. Blevins of Hopewell, three grandchildren, William P. Hammond and Wayne T. Hammond both of Prince George, and Wanda H. Payne of Atlanta, GA, two sisters, Ruth Meador, of Keysville, VA, Minnie Ward of Tuscon, AZ, a brother Thomas Locke, of Keysville, VA, 5 great grandchildren, 5 great, great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 12:30 PM in Bermuda Memorial Park, with the Rev. Dr. Ivan Perkinson officiating.
