I am so sorry to hear about the death of your mother, Betsy and Terri. I remember 4th grade as if it were yesterday and think back at how kind your mother was whenever I would visit. I know you will miss her. And I will never forget her hositality and kindness. My thoughts are with you as well as your sister Diane at this time.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the Daniel Family. It's been a rough few months for all of you. We don't understand and we shouldn't question the Lord for he has his reasons for the way things occur. There will be rough days ahead and you will get through them. Just remember all the good memories you have of your mother and grandmother etc.
When we come to visit family there in Hopewell and come to church, we see Shirley there in the choir, with that beautiful smile. On occasion she has managed to find her way to come to say hello to me. What a beautiful lady! I certainly will miss that smile in the choir, when I come to church on our next visit to Hopewell.
I can remember helping out in the kitchen with my mother(Arrella Cooper) years ago and Shirley and some other ladies were there too. Some of those ladies are gone too and they are all together up there in Heaven preparing dinners for the Lord and others from Powers.
Again cherish your memories and they will get you through the rough days and remember our mothers and friends are free of pain and watching us from Heaven.
Prayers with you always,
Patricia and Gary Ratliff

Our sympathy to all the Daniel Family, it's been rough, as I can see by the emails I get from Kim to the church family. Shirley isn't suffering anymore and she is up there in Heaven with Ralph and my mom and dad (Arrella and Horace Cooper)and all the others from Powers.
Everytime we came to Hopewell to visit and we would come to Powers on Sunday, Shirley was always in the choir, with that beautiful smile. She would nearly everytime I was there, somehow she would make her way to say hello to me.
I remember her when I was a young person in the church and she was always there to help. My mom worked in the kitchen and Shirley was there too along with others. Oh what good times!
Our prayers and thoughts are with all of you! May the Lord Bless and give you strenght to get through the coming days.

Shirley was my best friend. I will miss her so much, but know that she is in a much better place now.

Shirley was a great, Great-Aunt and had a huge loving heart. You could always count on Shirley to be there for you no matter what. Even though I know that she is in Heaven, she will be deeply missed.
