Reese, Johnnie A.

Johnnie Aileen Reese, 81, of Petersburg, passed away Sunday, August 19, 2007. Born in Lafayette County, Mississippi, she was the daughter of the late G. Grant and Daisy Belle Hawkins Robertson. Mrs. Reese was preceded in death by a brother, James Walter Robertson. She is survived by her husband, Preston Lewis Reese of Petersburg; sons, James L. Reese, Floyd A. Reese, Sr. and wife, Barbara Jean Reese all of Sutherland, Johnny M. Reese and wife, Shelby Reese of Colonial Heights; grandson, Floyd A. “Speedy” Reese, Jr. of Sutherland; sister, Kittye Strickland of Oxford, Mississippi; and brother, Chic Robertson of Florida. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Monday, August 20, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 1:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Gene Ballance officiating. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park.
