Dorothy Beebe Flatt, 84 of Richmond died Friday, August 10, 2007 at her residence. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Laurel Springs Chapter #227 in New Jersey, Ladies Auxiliary VFW #6253 in New Jersey and the First Christian Church of Hopewell. Mrs. Flatt was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Wayne Flatt and her husband Raymond Flatt. She is survived by a granddaughter, Theresa Flatt White and her husband Brian of Colonial Heights. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 14, 2007 at 11:00 AM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with Bobby Lane of the First Christian Church officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Theresa and Brian,
We are so sorry for your loss. Dottie was a wonderful and caring woman, who I had the pleasure of knowing for 42 years. She loved her family, and was especially devoted to her granddaughter. Although we will miss her greatly, her spirit will live on in your hearts forever. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

We hardly knew Aunt Dot and don't remeber seeing her after Uncle Ray died but I want to do is to again express my gratitude for her concern for my granddaughter. When Kassy was 12 years old, she had hodgkins. Aunt Dot did not know any of my children much less my granchidren but after Kassy lost her hair, we asked people to send her a hat [something to pass her time and brighten each day]she sent her a hat and stuffed bear.
