Archie Lee Lynch, age 81, of Chester, VA, died Tuesday August 7, 2007. Born in Gasburg, VA, he was the son of the late George Lee and Ora Clary Lynch. Mr. Lynch was a loyal member of Chester Baptist Church since 1969. He was a member of the Teamsters Union, and was a tractor trailer driver with various companies for approximately 44 years. Mr. Lynch was preceded in death by his wife Lois C. Lynch, of 48 years. He is survived by his children, Ronald L. Lynch, and wife Diana, of Chester, VA, Joan J. Lynch, of Chester, VA, Rose L. Raines, and husband Ronnie, of Brunswick, GA, Robert J. Lynch, and wife Carmen, of Charlottesville, VA, Gary W. Lynch, and wife Mary, of Glen Allen, VA; sixteen grand-children; sister, Alma L. Baird, of Gasburg, VA; sister-in-laws, Jane Lynch of Gasburg, VA, Phyllis Brockwell of Lawrenceville, VA; Ruth Cannon of Roanoke Rapids, NC; brother-in-laws Malcolm “Mac” Cannon, of Richmond, VA, and W. Jr. Brockwell of Lawrenceville, VA. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son on Friday, August 10, 2007, from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will follow there on Saturday, August 11, 2007, at 10 a.m., with a graveside ceremony and interment at James Square Baptist Church Cemetery, Lawrenceville, VA, at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Chester Baptist Church.
