Dora Cook Branch, 92, of Petersburg, passed away Sunday July 29, 2007. She was the daughter of the late Charles C. & Carrie Howell Cook and the widow of Asbury C. Branch. She was a retired clerk from the Petersburg School board and a member of Trinity United Methodist in Petersburg. She is survived by a nephew; Gordon Branch & his wife Nancy of North Carolina and a God-Daughter Susan Hannon of Arizona. A memorial service will be conducted in the Trinity United Methodist Church on Sycamore Street in Petersburg, with Dr. Gerald Miller officiating, Thursday August 2, 2007 at 11:00 AM, interment will be private. Dora Branch was long a member of the Women's Committee of the Petersburg Symphony Orchestra and an active supporter. When she was able, she helped us with our fund-raising efforts for the Symphony in any way that she could. She also came to the Thursday luncheons at the Washington Street United Methodist Church as often as she was able. She will be remembered, and she will be missed. Gale Beck |
