Pannill, Ernest L. III

Ernest “Pete” Linwood Pannill, III, died Friday, July 27, 2007 at his residence. He was born in Petersburg the son of the late Ernest L. and Lucy W. Pannill. Pete was a member of First Baptist Church in Petersburg. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Delores L. Pannill; two sons J. Michael Pannill and wife Karen, Phillip W. Pannill and wife Sissy; one daughter Tammy P. Vaughan and husband Wayne; five grandchildren Jesse and Chad Vaughan and Brent, Abbi and Ty Pannill; and one brother James E. Pannill and wife Anne. A funeral service will be held at 12 noon on Monday, July 30th at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service with interment to follow in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon from 4 to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Crater Community Hospice, 840 W. I was deeply saddened to hear the news about the death of Pete. Barbara and My thoughts are with you and your family during this difficult time. Pete was such a pleasure to be around, and I know he will be missed by all that knew him. I know that During this difficult time you will draw upon your own strength and the strength of loved ones that hold you in their thoughts.
