William Robert Cherry, III, 22, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, July 16, 2007. Born in Norfolk, VA he was the son of William Robert Cherry, Jr. (fiance Debbie Creech) and Karen Sue Hough Campbell. William worked in construction. He was an avid snowboarder, dirt bike rider, Nascar fan, loved hunting and being around his friends.
Besides his parents he is survived by his stepparents, Wayne Campbell and Larry R. Liverman; sisters, Crystal L. Cherry and Bridgette M. Winters and her husband, Robert; stepbrothers and stepsisters, Jennifer, Michelle, Kristen, Brittany, Aaron, and Patrick; grandparents, George Hough, Rodella Cherry, and Patricia and Ed Spry; aunts and uncles, David and Candy Cherry, Debra Taylor, Gary Hough and his wife, Delores, Chris and Jimmy Walker, Sarah and Tony Slaydon, Peggy and Mike Blount, Duke and Sherri Liverman, and Lee Liverman; and many close friends and cousins. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Janie Hough, William Cherry, Sr., and Lois Liverman.
Funeral services will be held at the Purviance Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Wakefield, on Saturday, July 21, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. with the Rev. Ray Rowland officiating. Interment is private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be posted on our website at www.jtmorriss.com.

Bob, Debbie, Bridget and the entire Family,
Please accept my condolences, It's times like this when Family and Friends are so important.
I'm happy to have meet BJ and spent time with him at the races, During this time, remember the good times that you shared with Him.

My prayers are with family and friends during this terrible time of lose. Although I wasnt around long I am grateful that I had a chance to know such a great young man. My condolences.
