Holt, Frances J.

Frances Johnson Holt, 94, of Hopewell, passed peaceably on to her eternal life on Friday, July 13, 2007. She is survived by her children, Benjamin Harvey Holt of LaGrange, NC, and Vicky Holt Abramson of Valencia, CA, three grandchildren, Timothy Holt Abramson, Jacob Raine Abramson, and Jenny Elizabeth Holt. She is also survived by cherished nieces and nephews, Kathrine Johnson McLean, Robert Arnold Johnson, Susan Johnson Robertson, and Stephen Gardiner Johnson. She was predeceased in death by her husband, Harvey Walton Holt, parents Benjamin Abbott Johnson and Emma Kathrine Mattox, brothers, Clarence Elmo Johnson, Milton Mattox Johnson, Benjamin Earle Johnson, Edward Lane Johnson, and sister, Edna Johnson McDonough. Funeral arrangements are being planned through J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home, Hopewell, with a time of visitation to take place Thursday, July 19, from 6 to 8 p.m. and a service in the memorial chapel on Friday, July 20, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at Hopewell’s Appomattox Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her beloved church, First Christian Church, 203 N. 11th Avenue in Hopewell.
