Joseph William “Bill” Hatchett, a loving husband and father, 76, of Disputanta, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2007. Born in Petersburg, he was the son of the late Joseph Morton and Virginia Adams Hatchett. He is survived by his wife, Susie Hatchett; daughter, Lisa H. Mullins and husband, Chris; son, Joe Hatchett; and grandchildren, Matthew Blake Mullins and Samuel Austin Mullins. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 PM Sunday, July 15, at the Petersburg Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. A funeral service will be conducted at 11: 00 AM Monday in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow at Southlawn Memorial Park. Suzie, I have fond memories of "Moose" from my years growing up around a softball field and the years while I worked with Ed Rockwell in PG. I always enjoyed being in your husband's presence. He was fun and he was a good man. God Bless.
