Condolences

Dear Ende family,I was a patient of Dr. Milton's for a long time. He was an outstanding physician and friend. Your mother and grandmother knew my husband, Byron, when he grew up and spent summers with his Aunt Rose Shear. Dr. Milton had a unique mind and he diagnosed some unusual episodes I had and I remember he would not quit until he figured out what was causing the problem. He will be missed by many in the community and my sympathies extend to all of you. Fondly, Diane Schrader

My dad, Jules, who came into town to receive his high school diploma, my brother, Ted, and I want extend our condolences to your families.
My dad grew up in Petersburg knowing Milton, Norman and his parents and remembers them from back in the 1920's.
My father was almost swept away down the street sewer in front of their store around 1920. Milton remembered the scene when we spoke with him 2 years ago and the chaos that ensued. My grandfather eventually pulled my dad out of the hole which was later covered with a safe lid.
I'm glad your father was able to spend a long and full life providing services to those in need and quietly change medicine for the better with his research.
It was nice meeting you at services at Brith Achim.
Sincerely,
Alan Blank

Dr.Milton was a truly decated physican who had great compassion and respect for his patients. He was also a great father who loved his sons with all his heart. I remember stories he would tell his friends about them growing up.There was one we loved about one of the boys wanting to catch a bass from a pay to fish pond. He findly caught one about 10 inches long; Dr Ende said it cost about 50 dollars an inch but it was worth it because his boy would always remember his trip to California and his first fish.We loved you Dr. Ende-there will never be another one like you.Go with GOD.

Truly a great man has departed this life. Dr. Milton Ende served his generation faithfully and with compassion. He was our family doctor during the early years of his practice in Petersburg. I recall his coming to our home in the final hours of a loved one's life. He held the old gentleman's hand and patted it as death came. I looked down and noticed Dr. Ende's pajama pants hanging down below his trousers. It told us that he came to us despite the fact that he had retired for the night. That's a real family doctor! May God bless his family in this time of sadness and separation.
