Roberts, Mildred M.

Mildred Moore Roberts, 88 of Colonial Heights, died Thursday, June 21, 2007 at John Randolph Medical Center. She is survived by her husband and soul mate of 67 years, Gilbert L. Roberts, Sr. “Linky”. She was a native of Petersburg and the daughter of the late Thomas P. & Inez Wright Moore. She was a retired education specialist at Ft. Lee. She was a member of Colonial Heights Woman’s Club, Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church and Second Baptist Church, a very spiritual individual who loved her church. She was a wonderful woman who spent her life devoted to the Lord, her family and friends, and in turn was loved by all. Her strong faith and kind generous spirit was an inspiration to her family and all who knew her. Heaven has a new angel. Besides her husband she is survived by her son, Gilbert Roberts of Midlothian; daughter, Judy Howell of Colonial Heights; sister, Virginia Schaffer of Seaford, DE; brother, Thomas P. Moore of Colonial Heights; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Monday, June 25, 2007 at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. The family will receive friends from 2-4 pm Sunday at the funeral Home. Interment will be in Blandford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Research Foundation, Inc., P. O. Box 20256, Sarasota, FL 34276. Condolences

So sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. I always admired your devotion to your parents during the time we worked together. I have since lost my Dad and a brother, so share in your grief. You know that your faith will sustain you.

Judy and family,
I was so sorry to hear of your Mom's death. I know she will be missed by all that knew her. Please know that my prayers are with you and your family at this diffucult time.
I was so glad when my Mom went to live at Brighter Living that she was able to sit at the table for her meals with your Mom and Dad. I know your Dad is going to be lost without her, 67 years is a long time together.
