Annie Mae Dixon Moore, 87, of Hopewell died Thursday, June 14, 2007 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Dalton, GA and had been a long time resident of the Hopewell area. Mrs. Moore was a retired cook for Cracker Barrel Restaurants. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Sally Montgomery Dobson, her first husband Alvin R. C. Dixon and her second husband Clarence F. Moore. Mrs. Moore is survived by three sons, Ken L. Dixon and his wife Joan of Chester, Wayne J. Dixon and his fiancée Patricia Johnson of Mt. Juliet, TN, Harry A. Dixon and his fiancée Vickie Williams of Madison Heights, VA, 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. The family will receive friends Friday, June 15, 2007 from 7:00 to 8:30 PM in the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held Saturday, June 16, 2007 at 3:00 PM in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Ryan Atkinson of Matoaca Christian Fellowship officiating. Ken and Joan: Please accept our sincere condolences for the loss your mother. Having gone through the loss of parents last year, we know how deeply the pain goes. We are so sorry that we could not be with you during this sad time for you but could not work it out at this time. We will be thinking of you during this time and pray that your family has the strength to endure the loss. Remember that the pain is ours - not your mother's - for she has finally reached her reward. We love you and hope to be able to get together in the near future.
