To our extended family, our love and prayers are with you. Your dad was a devoted friend for 30 years. He was closer than a brother. We always knew we could call on him and he be there through thick and thin. Oh the times we had together! The tales and stories that come to mind as we raised our children next door to each other. At times we were all like the Walton Family. At other times we were more like the Simpsons. From the fireworks (David on the roof) to the sled rides and fire barrels in the street. Remember the time John shot his BB gun and hit the car window on Salem Church Rd? Remember when David's front teeth got hit with a rock? The joy and trials of life we shared all of it together. We dearly loved your dad and will greatly miss him.
It is with joy that we know he accepted Christ as his Savior. I can just picture him adjusting the Pearly Gates (4 or more time) for St. Peter. He knew how to do it all. His motto was: Stop and think about it. Why is it not working! We may have lost him, but he will always be in our hearts and thoughts.
