Condolences

Lucy Webb Malone was my cousin, my friend and an inspiration to those who knew her. She lived a long full life and touched many a young life by the fact that she taught so many during her 42 years as a teacher. I talked to her often on the phone in later years and we often recalled the time when we sang in the choir at Trinity United Methodist Church, Petersburg, Virginia. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends but I think that she is singing in a Heavenly choir today.

Ms Malone was my teacher at Walnut Hill - what a wonderful lady. Enjoyed seeing her again at Dunlop House when I went to see my mom. Thanke you, Lucy, for all you did and all you were.

Love,

Miss Malone was my fifth grade teacher at Walnut Hill Elementary School. I have never forgotten how she treated all her pupils with such equal kindness. She read us bible stories and posted inspirational quotes on the board that I still remember. I know her family will miss her.
