Dear Sandra, Chris, and family, may God be with you during this difficult time. Losing one we love unexpectedly is so hard. However, our faith allows us the knowledge that God takes home those He has found ready to join Him. Your dad is with our nephew Michael enjoying the joy of heaven. To feel God's embrace is the ultimate gift. Your dad is no doubt experiencing that today. You are in our prayers. Please let us know if you need anything. Love, the Hon's

Words cannot express what your husband and Father meant to so many of us at Prince George High School during the 60's. He was a rare individual: kind, considerate , gentle and yet very competitive. He was a second Father to many of us and I can honestly say was one of those rare people you use for a guidepost for your entire life. He touched many lives and made us all better people for having known him. I will never forget him and will forever hold him in my heart. He loved his family, his country and his fellow man. Coach Charlie Saunders was a man in every sense of the word. Bill Wall '65

I really enjoyed working with Mr. Saunders while completing my first Practicum through Longwood University. He shared with me stories about education that led me to have the confidence necessary to be a classroom teacher. My thought and wishes go out to his family at this time of loss. He will be missed.

I enjoyed working with Mr. Saunder through the Prince George School system. Also, Ricky and I went to Radford together and it was always nice to have that connection and see him light up when he talked about Ricky and his accomplishments. Mr. Saunders was always a gentleman and make other around him at ease. I am sorry for your loss. You are in my prayers.
