Sutherland, Sarah A.

Sarah Beatrice Adams Sutherland, 83, of Petersburg died Monday, May 7, 2007 at Colonial Heights Health Care Center after an extensive illness. Sarah was born in Ford, VA the daughter of the late Berry Quincy Adams and Ada Branch Elder Adams. Sarah resided in Lynchburg through her school age years and lived in the Tidewater area while employed for Texaco Oil Company for almost 20 years. In 1956 Sarah married Andrew Sutherland in the chapel of the Naval Station in Norfolk. She traveled extensively in the Pacific and other parts of the world until Andrews’ retirement when they settled in Petersburg in 1979. The Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
