Blackwell, Mona R.

Mona Rayburn Blackwell, 89, of Hopewell, passed away in Indianapolis, IN, Thursday, April 19, 2007. She was born December 1, 1917 in Riceville, TN to the late Grace Rayburn Bullington and Isaac M. Rayburn. She was a resident of Hopewell from 1946 to 1994, when she moved to Indianapolis to live with her daughter. She retired from the old First and Merchants Bank after some 20 plus years of service. She was a member of the West End Presbyterian Church for 60 years. Her husband, William C. Blackwell and four brothers, Joseph, Arnold, Lester and Walter preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Edith Blackwell Kline and grandchildren Debra Y. Kummer, Stephen M. Kline, Anthony R. Kline and Tereissa L. Sauer; great grandchildren, James Pershing, Brett Kline, Cameron Kline and Alexa Kline; two brothers Earl Rayburn and Robert Rayburn and two sisters, Ruby Williams and Opal Allen and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call from 12:00 Noon until 2:00 PM on Tuesday, April 24, 2007 at the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home where services will be held at 2:00 PM. Interment will be in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chesterfield County, VA. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Association or the American Cancer Society. Edith, was so sorry to hear of your mom's death and will keep you in our prayers. I have lots of good memories of your family from being neighbors all those years ago.

Im sorry that I cant be there with the family. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Aunt Mona was a wonderful sweet person. I loved her a lot.
