Burke, Hilda J.

Hilda Jenkins Burke, age 76, of Richmond, VA went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 9, 2007. She was born in Washington, VA the daughter of the late Golden and Lena Fincham Jenkins. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Mrs. Burke was retired from Allied Chemical after 20 plus years of employment with the Chesterfield Plant and a member of Bellwood Baptist Church for approximately 50 years. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Charles E. Burke; four children, Gary Burke and wife Diane, Faye Smith and husband, Tommy, and Keith Burke, all of Chester, and Greg Burke and fiancé, Cassie of Midlothian, VA; grand children, Shawn, Patrick, Brad, Mac, Celena, and John; great grandchildren, Zack, Chris, Garrett, Ethan, and Grayson; sister, Beulah Payne of Moseley, VA; brothers, Lester Jenkins and wife, Mary Ann of Chester, and James Jenkins of Leesburg, VA. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Wednesday, April 11, 2007 from 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will take place at Bellwood Baptist Church on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 11 a.m. Interment will follow in Bermuda Memorial Park, Chester, VA. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Bellwood Baptist Church Teen Center, 9138 Quinnford Blvd, Richmond, VA 23237.
