Jane Reade Gupton, 79, of Petersburg, died Friday, April 6, 2007 at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Robert F. and Jessie Scott Reade and the widow of John H. Gupton. She is survived by her daughter, Paige Beach; son, James C. Gupton; son-in-law, Michael Beach; grandchildren, Amanda Wolfe, John Wolfe (Tina), Michael Beach, Jr., Kelly Beach, Melissa Collins (Kevin), Ricky Beach and Jami Gupton; great-grandchildren, Crystal Stripp, Jesse Stripp, Taylor Moore, Savannah Collins, Matthew Beach, Niki Beach and Dawson Collins; and a sister Evelyn R. DeLano. The family will receive friends at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Monday, April 9th from 6 to 8 pm. Graveside services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10th at Blandford Cemetery. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this time. I am glad I was able to be there to see how lovely Jane looked for her journey to heaven to be with John. I always enjoyed
having coffee and talking with her at Steak and Egg. Paige, your mom was always so cute referring to us, along with Elaine, as sisters.
I'm sure that all of you and especially the grandchildren have many fond memories. I am glad I was able to know her and your Dad.
