Wilder, Sr. Robert L

Robert Lee Wilder, Sr., 83, of Petersburg, died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at his residence. He was a native of Petersburg and son of the late Luther A. Wilder and Gracie Andrews. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Brock Wilder. He was a retired employee with the U.S. Government as Civil Service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a dedicated member of Crowder Memorial Baptist Church. He is survived by a son, Robert Lee Wilder, Jr. of Chester; four daughters, Carol Wilder Kellogg (Bruce) of Dinwiddie, Bonnie Wilder Otey (Ralph) of Prince George, Lauren Wilder Burns (Joseph Childress) of Chester and Priscilla Medokowich of St. Louis, MO; ten grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren; sister, Dorothy Spain of Newport News; sister-in-law, Mary Ruth Wilder of Colonial Heights. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Funeral services will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Saturday April 7, 2007 at Crowder Memorial Baptist Church, Petersburg. Interment will be in Southlawn Memorial Park.
