Charles Schaaf “Sparky” 77, of Petersburg died Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Southside Regional Medical Center. He was the son of the late Raymond H. and Amanda McGee Schaaf. He was preceded in death by his wife Paula B. Schaaf and daughters Carol Ann Schaaf and Baby Girl Schaaf. He served in the Korean War of the U.S. Army, was a retired conductor for the CSX Railway and was a member of the American Legion Post #2. He is survived by two sons, Todd Schaaf and wife, Tammy and Craig Schaaf and wife, Bonnie; grandchildren, Christopher and Kyle; step-grandchildren, Vince and Tyler; friends, Helen Leonard, Clint Harvell, Dotey McGee and Bill Priddy. Graveside services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 7, 2007 in Southlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered at www.jtmorriss.com.

My Condolences to "Sparky";s family. We grew up together in "Old Dog Hill" I have the fondest memories of "Sparky", His wit, his humor and his athleticd talent - He was a great person and friend- We will all miss him.

Please accept my sincere condolences. "Sparky" and Paula were old life long friends from the
"old dog hill" and wilcox lake days. I thought
a lot of both of them. I am sure you miss them. I live in pa. now ;but saw this on internet and wanted to acknowledge your loss.
