Sykora, Vaclav

Vaclav Sykora, 78 of Petersburg went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 29, 2007. He was a native of Jehnedi, Czech Rep. and the son of the late Frantisek and Stepanka Sykora. He was a retired employee of the U.S. Postal Service and a retired SSGT with the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Martha Sykora; children, Margarete Hornung and husband Oskar, Heidi Minter and husband, Jerry, Frank Sykora and wife, Noi, Vera Eley and husband, David, Rudi Sykora and wife, Andrea; grandchildren, Claudia, Tanja, Andreas, Shawn and wife, Amanda, Christopher, Brittany, Bryce; great-grandchildren, Braxton, Camden and Dawson; sisters, Stepanka, Emilka and Bozka; brother-in-law, Ladislav and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2007 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m. Sunday at the Petersburg Chapel of J.T.
