Fisher, Charles E.

Charles Edwin Fisher, Sr, 79, of Hopewell, died, Wednesday, March 28, 2007 in John Randolph Medical Center. He was born in Dinwiddie County and was a resident of this area most of his life. Mr. Fisher was a retired electrician with Firestone. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Earl and Alma Longmeyer Fisher. Surviving are his wife Shirley Dale Fisher of Hopewell, one daughter, Cynthia Fisher Robertson and husband Robbie of Chester, a son, Charles Edwin Fisher, Jr. and wife Kathy of Charlotte, N. C., seven grandchildren, Matthew, Nicholas, Michelle, Sarah, Hilary, David, and Mark. The family will receive friends Friday March 30, 2007 from 7-8:30 P.M. in the Hopewell Chapel of J. T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home and Cremation Service. A funeral service will be held Saturday March 31, 2007 at 11:00 A. M. in Wesley United Methodist Church with Rev. Wayne Rickman, pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Appomattox Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church, 2901 Norfolk St. Hopewell, Va. 23860 Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com

I will always cherish those early years when I thought of your home as my 2nd home....Miss Shirley my thoughts and prayers are with you, you have truly been blessed with continued good health and a large wonderful family...I will make it a special point to try and call or drop by the next time I am in Hopewell....Alan
