Bradman, Dr. Morton

Dr. Morton Bradman passed away on March 18, 2007. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Jean C. Bradman; his four daughters, Julia C. Bradman, Claire C. Bradman, Jennifer B. Frederick, her fiancé, Mitchell Day, and E. Sara Bradman. Dr. Bradman has three grandchildren, Zachary S. Frederick, Austin C. Frederick and Gabriella F. Bradman. Dr. Bradman attended college at Brooklyn College and Bowman Grey Medical School. He received a PhD in Educational Psychology at the University of London, where he was a Fulbright Scholar. Dr. Bradman was a Phi Beta Kappa and a member of the National Honor Society in Psychology. Dr. Bradman and his family moved to Virginia in 1972 where he became the Assistant Superintendent for Pupil Services in Henrico County Schools. He was promoted to Assistant Superintendent for Instructional Support Services, working with handicapped and disadvantaged children. Dr. Bradman was an adjunct professor at both the University of Richmond and VCU during his career. Since retirement, Dr. Bradman has been enjoying his family, traveling and spending time on the coast of North Carolina. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 from 4 to 6 pm. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association.
