Harvell, Vera B.

Vera Bratcher Harvell, 84, of Hopewell died Wednesday, March 7, 2007 in John Randolph Medical Center. She was born in Sopchoppy, Florida and was a long time resident of Hopewell. Mrs. Harvell was a retired cashier for campus housing at Florida State University. She was the daughter of the late Andrew and Sarah Revell Bratcher and the widow of Clarence D. Harvell. Mrs. Harvell is survived by a daughter, Sarah K. Harvell of Daytona Beach, FL, a son, Jimmy D. Harvell and Judy Wilson of Sutherland, VA, 4 grandchildren, Kimberly C., Christopher S., Chad M. and Jessica L. Harvell, 3 great grandchildren and a sister, Thelma Finch of Pensacola, FL. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 10, 2007 at 2:00 PM in Merchants Hope Memorial Gardens, Prince George County, with the Rev. Ken Hendricks, pastor of Woodlawn Baptist Church officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to The Hopewell Emergency Crew, P. O. Box 572, Hopewell, Virginia, 23860. The family is being served by the Hopewell Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Condolences may be registered with www.jtmorriss.com

Im so sorry for your loss. i know vera is in a better place. my son jacob called her grandma and absolutly adored her. she means so much to us and we will always remember how loving and kind she was to our family. God bless all of you. i know vera is with her child that she missed so much. My god hold her close. we will always love her. She will always hold a special place in our hearts but expecially in little Jacobs.

Hi Sara,
I worked with Vera in Cawthon Hall for the Housing Office at Florida State University. I remember Vera introducing you to me and we saw each other several times while she was at FSU.

You have my sincere condolences and I hope that you, your brother and the rest of the family remember the best of times with Vera. She was a sweet person.
