Joyce Cox Geddings, of Chester, VA passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2007. She was born in Petersburg, VA the daughter of the late Joseph F. and Mary Wilkinson Cox. Mrs. Geddings was a member of the Chester United Methodist Church for 36 years, a lifetime member of the Chester Women’s Club, the Village Women’s Club and a member of the Provettes at the Acca Temple Shrine. She took great pride in her church, family and home. She is survived by her husband of 35 years, Robert “Bob” B. Geddings; a daughter, Sherri S. Morris and husband Gordon of Chester; one granddaughter, Laura Morris of Chester; one brother, Joseph Cox and wife, Jeane of Richmond, VA; and other dear friends and family. The family will receive friends at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service on Thursday, March 1, 2007 from 5 to 7 p.m. A funeral service will follow there on Friday, March 2, 2007 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Chester United Methodist Church Building Fund, 12132 Percival St. Chester, VA 23831.
